Ross Dies, DDS
Dr. Dies is a Louisiana native and has over 32 years of experience in the dental profession. He is the founder of Shreveport-Bossier Family Dental Care. With over 800 hours of continuing education in a wide variety of clinical and lecture courses, Dr. Dies is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care and offers the most recent advances in dental technologies.
An active member of the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association, Dr. Dies holds memberships in the Louisiana Dental Association, the Northwest Louisiana General Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Dies co-founded and served as president of the Shreveport-Bossier Children’s Dental Clinic. He currently serves as a board member for the clinic, which provides dental care to underprivileged children in our area. He also serves as a volunteer dentist for the Louisiana Donated Dental Services; and spends time traveling on medical mission trips to Honduras and Mexico.
Dr. Dies was also included in the 2008-2010 “Americas Top Dentist” by the Consumer Research Council of America and for several years has been consistently named as one of the “Best Dentists” in the area by Shreveport-Bossier magazine.
Dr Dies lives in Shreveport with his wife, Ali, daughter, Brittney, and son, Mason.
Ben Beach, DDS
Dr. Beach is a native of the Shreveport area and is very proud and excited to be practicing dentistry in his hometown. Dr. Beach graduated from Northwood High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northwestern State University. Following his undergraduate studies, he went on to the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA, where he graduated with honors receiving the General Dentistry Award and the Chancellor’s Award. Dr. Beach takes personal pride in providing the very best dentistry possible to his patients, and doing it in a way that is comfortable, efficient, and best of all, pain-free.
As a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Beach stays abreast of the latest dental technology and research, and implements these advancements into his day to day practice. He enjoys every aspect of general dentistry and looks forward to many more wonderful years of serving the Shreveport-Bossier community.
Katie Beach, DDS – Diamond Invisalign Provider
Dr. Beach, originally from Baton Rouge, has truly enjoyed making Northwest Louisiana her home. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Biology from LSU, she graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Katie enjoys giving back to the Shreveport-Bossier community by participating in various charitable dental organizations such as Louisiana Donated Dental Services, Children’s Dental Clinic, and Dentistry From The Heart. She is also very honored and proud to have been nominated as one of the Top Dentists by SB Magazine every year since she has been practicing in North Louisiana.
Dr. Katie is dedicated to providing her patients with personalized dental comfort and care of the highest quality and prides herself in practicing gentle dentistry. She cares for patients of all ages and looks forward to helping you and your family achieve and maintain excellent oral health. Dr. Katie lives in North Shreveport with her husband, Ben, and their daughter, Bella Kate. Above all, she enjoys spending her free time with her family. Keep smiling and GEAUX TIGERS!
Michael Haydel, DDS
Dr. Haydel grew up locally in Bossier City. He graduated honors at Parkway Highschool, while being members of the Track and Cross-Country Teams. Dr. Haydel attended Centenary College of Louisiana, being a member of the Cross-Country Team and Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Dr. Haydel graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology in 2009. Upon completing undergraduate education, he attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA. While in dental school, he volunteered his skills for events such as Project Happy Tiger and Summer in the Swamp. Dr. Haydel graduated dental school with honors and received the prestigious Excellence in Comprehensive Dentistry Award.
With a desire to achieve the highest level of clinical excellence available to patients, Dr. Haydel completed a 1 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham. During this residency, advanced training was obtained in the fields of dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and oral surgery. Dr. Haydel is passionate about the field of dentistry and considers it a hobby. Commited to staying at the forefront of current technology and state of the art techniques, Dr. Haydel is a member of both the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He previously served as the President of the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association.
Dr. Haydel enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Anna Hastings. Other activities include hunting, fishing, watersports, running, and attending LSU and Saints games during his free time. Dr. Haydel serves his country as a Major in the Louisiana Army National Guard, with the honor of being a State Dental Officer. Dr. Haydel is dedicated to building a great doctor-patient relationship, while performing the highest level of care to his patients, using state of the art techniques!
Kyle Cotton, DDS
Dr. Kyle Cotton was born and raised in Shreveport. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Biology from LSU. He then graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Cotton believes that the foundation for better dental health is based on mutual trust, respect, communication, and understanding. Consequently, the comfort of the patient is always his top priority as he encourages patients to make sound choices about their own health. Ultimately, he believes that building a foundation of trust by treating patients as special individuals is vital to success.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Cotton enjoys outdoor activities, such as playing tennis and golf, and walking his dog, Brees. He also enjoys cheering on LSU and New Orleans Saints football. He is happy to be back in his hometown to work with the people of the Shreveport-Bossier community
Anna Hastings, DMD
Dr. Hastings is originally from Mobile, AL, and is excited to call Shreveport her new home! She studied Biomedical sciences at Auburn University with intentions on pursing a career in Dentistry.
Dr. Hastings comes from a strong dental background, with her father being an Orthodontist, mother a General Dentist, and sister an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Resident. Dr. Hastings received her DMD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Hastings completed a 1 year General Practice Residency at UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL. During her additional training, she learned advanced techniques for better treating her patients. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Michael Haydel, and their dog Maya. Dr. Hastings looks forward to providing gentle Dentistry and developing a great Doctor-Patient relationship.
Timothy Tate, DDS
Dr. Timothy Tate is a New Orleans native and is excited to make a home in Shreveport. He received his bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University before graduating from LSU School of Dentistry where he received the William F. Schmidt Memorial Achievement award for ethics, professional demeanor, and dedication to dental treatment planning as well as the LSU Humanistic Culture award. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and National Dental Association.
Dr. Tate enjoys appreciating and participating in artistic endeavors such as drawing, writing, and playing piano. Most of all, he is looking forward to treating all of his patients with the utmost care and respect in order to promote exceptional oral health.
Quyen Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Quyen Nguyen was born and raised in Berwick, Louisiana. She attended Berwick High School and received a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University. After earning her undergraduate degree, she attended LSU School of Dentistry and completed a one-year postgraduate Periodontic Implant-Restorative fellowship. Her love for LSU runs deep!
Throughout school, she enjoyed spending time volunteering at LA Mission of Mercy, Nation of Smiles- One Smile at a Time, Special Smiles, Dentistry from the Heart, and Give Kids a Smile. She is currently a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Nguyen truly enjoys helping people. She makes it a priority for every patient to feel comfortable & relaxed. She says building trust with the patient is a necessity. She believes that properly educating and communicating are the keys to helping her patients make the right decisions about their oral health.
When Dr. Nguyen is not in the office, she enjoys riding bikes and playing tennis with her husband Reuben. They also enjoy playing with their sweet dog Sara Lee. She also loves spending time with her family, cooking, and trying new restauarants.
Brenton Bird, DDS
Dr. Bird has always considered Shreveport-Bossier his home. He grew up in Bossier City, where he graduated from Parkway High School, and he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University Shreveport. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Bird obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the Flores MBA Program at Louisiana State University. He then completed his dental education at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. Dr. Bird is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. He remains progressive in his continued education so that he can meet the needs of all patients.
Dr. Bird believes that the best dental care is achieved through patient education, comfort, and trust. With this in mind, he is excited to provide exceptional care for the community of Shreveport-Bossier. He is happy to be home in Bossier with his wife Corinne and their golden lab Roux.
Ashley Horton, DDS
Dr. Horton grew up in the small town of Ragley, Louisiana. She moved to Baton Rouge to obtain her bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. After four years of studying and cheering on the tigers in Death Valley, she moved to New Orleans to attend the LSU School of Dentistry.
While in dental school she gained years of experience treating patients of all ages. She also participated in volunteer programs such as Oznam clinic for the homeless and Give Kids a Smile. Dr. Horton is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and The American Academy of Clear Aligners. She is also the Invisalign Provider at our Airline Location. She strives always to treat her patients with gentleness and a personalized approach in order to make their appointments as stress-free as possible. Dr. Horton is excited to call Shreveport her new home. When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys cooking, reading, swimming, and spending time with her husband, Cameron, and daughter Emma.
Brynner Bonnette, DDS
Dr. Brynner Bonnette, who grew up in North Shreveport, and has brought his passion and love for dentistry to the SBFD family. Dr. Bonnette grew up in North Shreveport and graduated from CE Byrd. He went to college at Louisiana State University and earned a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and then proceeded to earn a master’s degree in Biochemistry. While earning his master’s degree he was awarded the University Award in Biochemistry. He graduated from LSU School of Dentistry and was awarded the American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award.
Dr. Brynner is a third generation dentist, his grandfather Dr. Charles Goben and father Dr. Kenneth Bonnette both practice dentistry in Shreveport, LA. He lives in Shreveport, LA with his wife and two kids: Kelley, Caimen, and Blaine, along with his dog. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, fitness, traveling, and being outdoors as much as possible. He feels extremely blessed in life and his career and gives all the praise, honor, and glory to God.
Carly Bonnette, DDS
She comes from a family that has strong ties to the dental community as her father, grandfather, and brother are all general dentists; her sister is a dental hygienist, and she also has a sister in law who is a dental assistant. Dr. Carly received her DDS from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Dentistry.
During dental school Dr. Carly was inducted into the C. Edmund Kells Society for academic excellence. She also was nominated by the staff to be inducted to Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Dental Society, Theta Kappa chapter. Only 12% of the class is given this honor and must be selected from the top 20% academically. Dr. Carly also received honors for excellence in prosthodontics. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Carly believes in open communication with her patients, that her patients should feel at ease during their care, and that making the best decisions regarding their oral health is accomplished by the patient being properly educated. When not practicing dentistry she enjoys hiking, biking, and playing with her dogs Leelo and Sam. She also loves to participate in movie theme nights with her large family.
